めっきり寒くなったこの頃

２日前にお友達が来ました。

もうすぐ３歳になるまおちゃんとリー君の２ショット！まおちゃんは平均身長をはるかに超えているというのが、なるほどーと言うくらい背が高い！頭一個分くらい大きいまおちゃんとリー君はとっても仲良く遊べました。

この辺り小さな子がいないせいで、周りからは心配の声が絶えずママも心配してましたが、ちゃんと遊べるんだねーと感心。

そのうちにリー君が

まおちゃん、一緒にあそぼーといって手を引っ張る仕草まで！！

私はジンときましたよお

我が子もいつかは私の腕の中から巣立っていってしまうのね。

もう、涙まででそうなくらい、何ともいえない、嬉しいような、寂しいような

感情に浸りました

今日は肌寒い中、地区の運動会で

ママパパは運動量の多い種目に抜擢されて、

じーじばーばがリー君を連れてお呼ばれした幼稚園へ。

ママなし、パパ無しでもしっかり楽しんできたみたい。

初めてじーじ、ばーばとお出かけをして来たリー君はなんだか本当に大きくなってしまいました。

その後は大好きなお友達とゲーム大会。

ママはキッチン。

他の皆さんはスーパーマリオ！

時間も忘れるくらい楽しかったね♪

The best blueberry muffins

Ingredients

• 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
• 3/4 cup cane sugar
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 2 teaspoons baking powder
• 1/3 cup vegetable oil
• 1 egg
• 1/3 cup soy milk
• 1 cup fresh blueberries
• 1/2 cup white sugar
• 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
• 1/4 cup butter, cubed
• 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Grease muffin cups or line with muffin liners.
2. Combine 1 1/2 cups flour, 3/4 cup sugar, salt and baking powder. Place vegetable oil into a 1 cup measuring cup; add the egg and enough milk to fill the cup. Mix this with flour mixture. Fold in blueberries. Fill muffin cups right to the top, and sprinkle with crumb topping mixture.
3. To Make Crumb Topping: Mix together 1/2 cup sugar, 1/3 cup flour, 1/4 cup butter, and 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon. Mix with fork, and sprinkle over muffins before baking.
4. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes in the preheated oven, or until done.

The very best carrot cake ever!!! I can eat a whole cake ...

• Cake:
• 3 Cups shredded carrots
• 1 1/4 Cup of sugar
• 2 Cups flour
• 1/2 Teaspoon of salt
• 2 Teaspoons of baking powder
• 1/2 Teaspoon of baking soda
• 2 Teaspoons of cinnamon
• 1/2 Cup of orange juice
• 3/4 Cup of canola oil
• 1 Cup of raisins
• 1 Cup of Chopped walnuts
• Topping:
• 1/4 Cup Tofutti cream cheese or other kind of soycream cheese
• 1/4 Cup vegan margarine
• 2 cups powdered sugar
• 1 tsp vanilla

How to make it

---

• Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
• Do not use a hand mixer for this recipe, use a ladle or spoon.
• Mix all the dry Ingredients together.
• Then mix in the Carrots and the Oil to the dry ingredients.
• Add the Orange Juice and mix it all together.
• Fold in the nuts and raisins
• Grease pan with cooking spray or oil.
• Put the batter into cake pan.
• Bake for 45 minutes or until knife/toothpick comes out clean when inserted in the center.
• Let cool completely
• Beat cream cheese and margarine together.
• Beat in powdered sugar and vanilla together with hand mixer.
• Pipe into a plastic ziplock bag and close bag.
• When cake is completely cool, cut a little snip off the bottom corner of the ziplock bag and drizzle the creamy frosting over the top of the cake as pictured.
• Or you can always just frost it regular.
• Enjoy!

my family is a big fan of carrot cake, and we have been tried numerous recipes to make just like my mom used to make when we were small...of course, she can't remember how to make it...but then, this one is so close to what we remembered!! it is moist and hint of walnut and orange juice spice is more than you expect! Ought to try!

リー君のこのごろ

涼しい風が時折ふくようになりました

リー君の散歩も雨の合間を縫うようにトンボと一緒の楽しい時間です

fire crackerという単語を覚えたリー君はお店に幾度花火をねだります

でも夜は疲れきって花火まで到達せずねちゃうんだよね

夏の慌ただしさと共にいつの間にかパンツ君になりました

私も気がつかないくらい自然な流れで、あれ？なんかおむつ使ってないなこの頃。。。親に似合わずしっかりもののりー君です。

そしてついでに卒乳もできました

そしたらご飯をびっくりするぐらい良く食べるようになりました

ほんとだったんだねえ

昨日はNHKのエリックさんが近くで英語ショーをするというので見に行ってきました

３年前お会いした時はリー君はおなかの中で踊ってたのよね

日本人の奥様もエリックさんもますます輝いていて素敵だった！

特に奥様が素敵！ああいう風に年を重ねていきたいなあと思いました

今日は晴れ＝洗濯物
